Flood & Hindle Mining Trail

The scenic 1.6-mile Flood & Hindle Mining Trail wanders along the Willow Creek through willows and pine forest. It features artifacts & interpretive signs about the people who lived and labored in the valley, and the methods and equipment they used to extract gold from the rock. One of the most significant efforts of this project was returning the J.J. Marrin Stamp Mill to its original location & building a working reproduction of the Flood & Hindle Arrastra.

This project was funded in part by the Wyoming Cultural Trust Fund, the Wyoming State Parks, Historic Sites & Trails Enterprise Account & the Friends of South Pass.
