Flood & Hindle Mining Trail

From the late 1860s to the mid-1900s, the banks of Willow Creek flows were bustling. Mills crushed gold-ore, kilns fired bricks, & saw mills shaped timbers for mine structures & homes.

The scenic 1.6-mile Flood & Hindle Mining Trail wanders along the creek through willows & pine forest. It features interpretive signs about the people who lived & labored in the valley, & the equipment they used to extract gold from the rock.

Extensive restorations & demonstrations are a feature of

Guided walks given every Saturday in July & August at 11 am.
