From the late 1860s to the mid-1900s, the banks of Willow Creek flows were bustling.
Mills crushed gold-ore, kilns fired bricks, & saw mills shaped timbers for mine structures
The scenic 1.6-mile Flood & Hindle Mining Trail wanders along the creek through willows
& pine forest. It features interpretive signs about the people who lived & labored
in the valley, & the equipment they used to extract gold from the rock.
